Andrey Gordienko is a film scholar and philosopher formerly based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and currently residing in Los Angeles. He holds a PhD in Cinema and Media Studies from UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, where he has taught a graduate seminar on contemporary film theory. His recent philosophical and political essays have appeared in SubStance, Paragraph, Continental Philosophy Review, and Sartre Studies International.
