About Colin Koopman

Colin Koopman is Professor of Philosophy, Head of Philosophy, and Director of New Media & Culture at the University of Oregon. His writings have appeared in "The New York Times," "Aeon," and "Public Books" as well as in academic journals ranging from "Critical Inquiry" to "Journal of the History of Philosophy." His most recent book is "How We Became Our Data: A Genealogy of the Informational Person" (U Chicago Press, 2019).
